Welcome. Hopefuly this site can serve as a resource for those in academia looking to use better use technology both in their own scholarship and in the classroom. Less a site about the theory of technology in academia, this site is looking to document the various ways, “hacks†people have developed to make technology work for them.
If you are here for the first time check out the categories to the right, as they should give you a sense of what is already here. Most of what is here so far outlines “hacks†on the Mac, but many of them work just as well on the PC, especially those geared towards the web.
There is also a rating system (one to five stars) that should indicate the rough difficulty of the trick/tip being outlined.
