Interesting, quirky, and enlightening video. The bulk of what I learned in college, wasn't taught in the classroom. It was through experiences, friendships, relationships, stress, the whole bit.

Although I agree with most of the points in the video, I would argue that my college experience absolutely facilitated these "life experience". In other words, I think that because of my experience (and I realize everyone's college experience is different - and definitely depends on the type of school you go to, what you make of it, etc.) I was able to learn what I did.

Anyway, great post, and cool video. Definitely worth watching.

This video was great. As someone who blogs about technology and education, I think Dan is absolutely right. I chose to stay in school and get my degree but to be honest, I learned more by starting my own business than I actually learned in school.

Education 3.0, as most people refer to the nextgen technologies, will probably morph universities into border-less institutions. The focal point of education will certainly move beyond the classroom walls. To learn more about those technologies, you may be interested in attending the webinar "Transforming Education through Disruptive Technologies" @ https://www1.gotomeeting.com/register/740238105.. It will cover a range of technologies that are promising to take education to a new level

I just wanted that Dan Brown to stop talking. The world wide soapbox wears me out sometimes because of this strange idea that everyone (including me, writing this) can/should have an opinion. Please, Dan, just stop talking ... for a moment.
