    It’s all about the text book publishing companies. They are to worried about piracy to see what profits they could make without using paper. I worked for a start up that was developing software and hardware to put text books on for students for awhile. It couldn’t get off the ground without writing all of it’s own text books because the publishing companies wouldn’t even talk about it.

    I know that when I was a student I would have much rather carried a laptop or a cell phone or a reader device instead off all of the books I “needed” for my classes.
