Blogging Choices

21classes.jpg

Personally I am a big fan of edublogs, if I did not have my own domain I would host by educational blog there. But if the Wordpress/edublogs format is not for you and you are looking for a blogging option for your class, you might want to check out 21 Classes. 21 Classes seems to be trying to fill a niche of group blogging in education. In other words you as a teacher can open an account and have a group of connected student blogs. 21 classes offers some enhanced security features as well. The significant drawback I see is that it is add supported, although you can upgrade to a premium account (paid) and avoid this. Worth a look if you want an option other than edublogs.

Thanks for the link, great to know you’re a fan!

Edublogs is also completely ad free, and allows unlimited uploads (did I mention that 21 have ads and upload limits :)

But hey, who says competition ‘aint a good thing!
