The Devon Academy
You can see other posts on this site about Devon, and using it for studying. But, one of the drawbacks to Devon has been the steep learning curve. Because it is so powerful and useful it actually takes a while to learn how to mobilize it, and realize everything that can be done. Well now Devon has set-up tutorials to help in the process. This is fantastic news. If you plan on making a career out of being an academic I highly recommend this program, and now is a good time to give it a try. From the Devon website:
A powerful and sometimes complex tool like DEVONthink requires you to invest into learning how it works and how you can use it best for your personal workflow. We have put together some learning resources that will give you a kickstart with example databases, a tutorial database, video tutorials movies (coming soon), and example scripts.

but these tutorials are just for the souped-up versions of devon.

The tutorials are based on the “pro” verisions, but most of what they go thru works on the “personal” as well. What you can do is download the pro as a trial, and use it to run the tutorial. On Devon’s website they have a section that marks the differences between the two so you can see which features you want be able to do that the tutorials are highlighting.
