Thanks to Henry Jenkin’s blog I discovered The Project for New Media Literacy. I have been wondering about something like this. For sometime now there has been the need to think thru how significantly media literacy has changed and just as importantly to provide educators with tools and resources to teach this to students. Of note is the first in a series of video installments intended to serve as resources in media literacy education. The first one is a series of video interviews with Cory Doctrow a published author who is also a blogger. For those of you teaching blogging in the classroom I recommend watching these videos.

We have to continually ask students to critically evaluate their info sources. Here’s a recently rediscovered relic from my early days as a teacher. High School “Media Studies” circa 1983 (mainly TV – and all very McLuhan).
