More software sales . . . This time OmniWeb. OmniWeb which is normally $29.95 is on sale this month for $9.95. This is one of those things that makes me crazy as I paid full price . . .but oh well. OmniWeb is my browser of choice. Why pay for a browser? Because I want a browser that is built on Webkit rather than Gecko (Firefox, Camino) and there are things about Safari that drive me crazy. OmniWeb isn’t as customizable as Firefox, but it is damn fast, I like the thumbnail tabs and workspaces, and the ability to have site specific preferences is killer. So if you are looking for more browsing options give OmniWeb a look-see.

I would not have paid for a browser because I was content with my combination use of Safari and Camino, but this sale price made it easy for me to give OmniWeb my money. It is very impressive. The thumbnail tabs are unique, and the speed is amazing. I’ve moved to making it my main browser.
