MediaCommons

One of the sites I regularly read is if:book a project for the future of the book. In the past they have launched some exciting projects like GAM3R 7H30RY. Today they announced the launching of a new project, MediaCommons. I won’t go into it here, you can read the whole thing at their site, but it looks like an exciting project and hopefully a significant step towards improving academic information exchange in the age of the digital.
