Yes, that is one of the reasons I recommend using IMAP, if you cannot having multiple folders on your computer works. If you have space restrictions on an IMAP account (like I do) at the end of ever month I move the previous months email to the archive on my computer.

Nice tutorial but the problem with Mail is, that if you use a POP3 account, there is no way to have subfolders under each account you have, this only works with IMAP.

Greetings

What about address books, contact lists, etc.? Is there an easy way to import these from webmail or no? Do you have tips for utilizing these tools within these applications? (Not to give you MORE work, but...)

Lets say one is Albany the other is St. Rose and each has a students needing response folder, you need two rules each with the same "hot-key." For example you set up one hot key tha is Control + R (for response) and tell it if a message is a memember of Albany to move it to Albany students response. Than you set up a second rule same hot key Control +R that says if a message is a memember of St. Rose move it to St. Rose response, since a message can not be both in Albany and St. Rose it will ignore one rule, and apply the other.

Question about Act-on: if I have am between two schools and have a folder for each school, can i have subfolders with the same names? And if so, how will act-on know where to move them? I can probably figure this out through experimentation, but if you have a quick and easy answer, please inform us....

Your website is great, and these are very useful tips on email. You've convinced me to try email without auto-refresh and I'm going to check out Act-On.
